Question
I have a student loan delinquency showing from PHEAA and AES on my credit report that is scheduled to fall off next year. I have since paid the account in full and didn't know about the "pay for delete" strategy at the time. Is there any way of appealing to these agencies to have them remove the derogatory info from my credit report? I have disputed this delinquency on all of the major credit reports and the delinquency has been validated.

Answer
Unfortunately if this is a legitamate charge there is no way to have it removed prior to the 7 1/2 year cut off. If it helps, they student loan agency would not have accepted a PFD since they don't have a statute of limitations.
